Exhibition "(In)Security / 2024

Security - the absence of fear, anxiety, and doubt - is a state we spend our entire lives pursuing. We seek a secure home, a secure relationship, a secure future. Yet we rarely stop to ask whether true security is ever attainable, or whether the feeling itself is the only thing we can hold on to.

In our attempt to protect every fragile part of ourselves, we wrap our lives in layers of caution. We smooth the edges, guard our wounds, and build an invisible bubble meant to shield us from anything sharp еnough to hurt. But the more defenses we raise, the more delicate we become.

Perhaps real security doesn't come from avoiding every danger, but from allowing ourselves to confront it - to be wounded, to heal, to strengthen. Only by facing what threatens us do we learn resilience. Only by breaking do we discover how to remake ourselves.

This exhibiton reflects on the paradox of safety: the idea that true security lies not in perfect protection, but in the courage to endure, recover, and grow into a state where nothing can truly harm us.
